Thai Cottage is a restaurant chain with several location in Texas. They serve a variety of (you guessed it!) Thai-inspired cuisine. I reached out to Thai Cottage to find out which of their menu items are vegan or vegetarian. The surprising answer? None!
Absolutely nothing on their menu is vegan or even vegetarian (except maybe the steamed rice, but that wasn’t confirmed). They have a whole section of the menu titled “Vegetable Lover” with several dishes that contain veggies and/or tofu in some sort of sauce. You would think that those items would be vegetarian, but they’re not! According to Thai cottage restaurant, even the “Vegetable Lover” dishes contain oyster sauce, shrimp paste, or fish sauce. So if you are vegan or vegetarian, stay clear of Thai Cottage.
