Shake Shack is a popular chain serving up burgers, fries, milkshakes, and more. They are based in New York but in recent years have spread all across the country. The popular question is: Do they offer any vegan menu options? I contacted their corporate headquarters to find out. This is their response:

“The main vegan options we have are our gluten-free buns with Rick’s Picks pickles, lettuce and other additions, and our crinkle cut fries. Please check with your Shack on their cooking process, as some Shacks use the same oil filtration system for our the oil used to fry our Chick’n Shack and crinkle fries. We are not able to make a vegan ‘Shroom Burger. Additionally, our Martin’s potato rolls contain dairy products and are therefore not vegan. ”

So unfortunately, there’s nothing like a vegan burger, only the vegan/gluten-free bun with a few veggies on it. It’s a shame the Shroom burger can’t be made vegan (hopefully they work on one soon!). In the meantime, you can’t go too wrong with a big basket of crinkle fries.
