Not Your Average Joe’s is a popular restaurant chain with a couple dozen locations location on the East Coast. I reached out to their corporate headquarters to find out what their vegan menu options are. Turns out, there are quite a few vegan-friendly options! You will find their response detailing those options below.
“The Veggie Burger is vegan, but unfortunately the bun is not. Even our gluten-free bun has egg whites so you would have to have it without the bun. I have had guests order it using a tortilla wrap or even lettuce leaves as a substitute. There is the Spaghetti Squash Bolognese which is vegan as long as you ask for it not to be garnished with cheese. It’s delicious. All of our salads can be made vegan as long as you request no cheese and no meat. I suggest replacing the meat with avocado or mushrooms or beans and substitute the dressings. Our pizzas would also be vegan with no cheese, as long as you are okay with yeast. Our chef will also be happy to create any type of vegetable stir fry using any fresh, and ideally local, ingredients we have on hand. For an appetizer, the Quesdailla and Lettuce Wraps can be made vegan since they are made to order as can any type of flatbread using vegan ingredients.”
