Scrod (sometimes called schrod) is typically a fillet of some type of whitefish that is sold as food, particularly along the New England coast and Atlantic Canada. Therefore, scrod does not actually refer to a specific type of fish. That being said, scrod is most commonly a young Atlantic cod or haddock, both of which are kosher fishes.
