Haddock (known by the scientific name of Melanogrammus aeglefinus), is a saltwater fish that is a member of the cod family. It is found in the North Atlantic ocean and is fished year round. Haddock is a popular type of fish to eat, and is often found smoked. It is also a very common fish used in British “fish and chips.”
